Obama the Tyrant

Keeping in mind the complexity of the gun control issue, the fact of the matter is that the Second Amendment is as binding as the First Amendment is– and it must be respected.

Obama in 2008: “When you all go home and you’re talking to your buddies and you say, ah ‘He wants to take my gun away.’  You’ve heard it here,  I’m on television so everybody knows it.  I believe in the Second Amendment. I believe in people’s lawful right to bear arms. I will not take your shotgun away. I will not take your rifle away. I won’t take your handgun away.” That is a direct quote.

Contrast that to 2013, when “the White House is weighing a far broader and more comprehensive approach to curbing the nation’s gun violence than simply reinstating an expired ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition, according to multiple people involved in the administration’s discussions.  A working group led by Vice President Biden is seriously considering measures backed by key law enforcement leaders that would require universal background checks for firearm buyers, track the movement and sale of weapons through a national database, strengthen mental health checks, and stiffen penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors, the sources said.”

Surely we need to take better measures to keep guns out of the wrong hands. But creating a national government database of law-abiding Americans simply exercising their Second Amendment constitutional rights is uncalled for, and constitutes yet another step toward tyranny. Obama’s Department of Homeland Security has purchased 450 million rounds of .40-caliber hollow point bullets— and now Obama wants to take away American citizens’ guns.  Our Founders understood the implications: “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” It’s tyranny.

Update: Obama is known for abusing his executive power (“a campaign labeled “We Can’t Wait” pushes unilateral directives and programs from the White House as the only way to push ahead on the president’s agenda when a do-nothing Congress fails to act”) and openly admits that he doesn’t respect the Constitution’s separation of powers and now VP Joe Biden has announced that Obama intends to issue executive orders to bypass Congress on gun control.

Update #2: Obama’s true intent is clear: he’s now been quoted as saying “I don’t believe people should be able to own guns.” Obama is so egocentric that he actually believes his personal opinion is more authoritative than the U.S. Constitution.

Obama bullies weak Republicans

After 4 years of blaming Republicans for all of the country’s problems, bullying his political opponents, and spewing vitriolic rhetoric against Republicans, Obama has apparently crushed Republican leaders into submission on the sequester:  “Days before the March 1 deadline, Senate Republicans are circulating a draft bill that would cancel $85 billion in across-the-board spending cuts and instead turn over authority to President Barack Obama to achieve the same level of savings under a plan to be filed by March 8. The five- page document, which has the tacit support of Senate GOP leaders, represents a remarkable shift for the party. Having railed against Senate Democrats for not passing a budget, Republicans are now proposing that Congress surrender an important piece of its Constitutional “power of the purse” for the last seven months of this fiscal year. As proposed, lawmakers would retain the power to overturn the president’s spending plan by March 22, but only under a resolution of disapproval that would demand two-thirds majorities in both the House and Senate to prevail over an Obama veto.”  The Constitution demands checks and balances– the Republican Party’s leadership is inexcusably weak. Obama openly admits that he doesn’t care about the Constitution’s separation of powers, and weak Republican leaders are violating their oaths of office by enabling Obama to get away with being a tyrant. The Founders of America designed our system of government around the concept of Liberty– less than 300 years later, we have a U.S. President who is unchecked by an opposition party that has disgracefully surrendered.

Update: Obama REALLY WANTS to destroy America— and he won’t accept any compromise from the weak GOP that falls short of that goal:  “The White House is threatening a presidential veto of a Senate Republican measure that would give President Barack Obama more authority and flexibility to find $85 billion in spending cuts this year… The White House says it instead backs a Democratic measure to replace the cuts with tax hikes on millionaires and spending reductions over 10 years… Neither bill is likely to survive Senate procedural obstacles Thursday.”

Update #2: Obama thinks he’s putting the GOP in its place by disrespecting its elected lawmakers: Regarding the sequester, Obama “gave GOP lawmakers as much as seven minutes, a rare face-to-face encounter that the White House described as a “meeting.”… The White House’s characterization of this momentary huddle at the Capitol as a meeting illuminates Mr. Obama’s strategy in dealing with Republicans on the budget cuts and other fiscal deadlines. With speeches and other staged events, the president has tried to build public pressure for his agenda of tax increases coupled with spending cuts. But he has made little time for negotiating directly with lawmakers who oppose his plans… His strategy worked in the “fiscal cliff” negotiations at the end of last year, resulting in a tax hike on households earning more than $450,000 per year and a temporary extension of the nation’s borrowing limit. There were few direct negotiating sessions with Republicans, the president preferring instead to call on the public to pressure GOP lawmakers into making a deal. Now he is trying the same tactics…  Pressed by reporters about the substance of a meeting that lasted less time than the average person’s morning shower, Mr. Carney conceded that the president mainly discussed his “anticipation” of a Friday meeting at the White House with congressional leaders. That session, widely perceived as a photo opportunity, will be held on the same day that the budget cuts are to begin taking effect.”

Obama openly admits that he doesn’t care about the “Separation of Powers”

Forget the U.S. Constitution: Obama says, “Where Congress is not willing to act, we’re going to go ahead and do it ourselves.”

Update: “President Barack Obama is tired of waiting for Congress to move on legislation to reduce carbon emissions, and his administration is poised to move forward on actions to do just that—including a move that will effectively eliminate the possibility of any new coal plant opening in the United States, experts say.” So, not only is Obama once again acting unilaterally and trashing the separation of powers– but he’s also following through on his promise to destroy the coal industry.

Strange Update: Does Obama have a split personality disorder too? America is incredulous now that he’s been taped saying this: “You know, the one thing about being president is, after four years, you get pretty humble… You realize all the mistakes you made. But you also realize you can’t do things by yourself. That’s not how our system works. You’ve got to have the help and the goodwill of Congress.” Right…

Obama is going to tell you how to run your home.

“Under the broad banner of “health,” the federal government not only is telling Americans what to eat, it’s also telling us to make our homes safer. This week, the Obama administration released a “bold new vision for addressing the nation’s health and economic burdens caused by preventable hazards associated with the home.””

Obama believes that his power is unlimited, and is in open denial:
“This is something I’ve struggled with throughout my presidency.  The problem is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States.” — Obama

Obama’s flagrantly unconstitutional recess appointments

Obama bypasses Congress and makes an unprecedented move that threatened to ignite “an all-out legislative war with Congress.”

Update: On January 25, 2013, a federal appeals court “overturned President Obama’s controversial recess appointments from last year, ruling he abused his powers and acted when the Senate was not actually in a recess… The judges ruled that the appointments he made to the National Labor Relations Board are illegal… They said Mr. Obama erred when he said he could claim the power to determine when he could make appointments… Allowing the president to define the scope of his own appointments power would eviscerate the Constitution’s separation of powers.”

Obamacare is a tool of tyranny.

As the GOP always knew, Obamacare is a tool of tyranny.  You don’t even need to be anti-gun control to find it repulsive that Obama is now using Obamacare to compel doctors to ask their patients about gun ownership and “gun safety.” This isn’t a question of health or security– this is about freedom and privacy. Obama should not use legislation such as Obamacare for unintended purposes so that he can advance his political agenda.

There are certainly desirable gun control measures that should be taken– but Obama won’t let the American people have stricter background checks unless they also accept a national database of law-abiding gun owners. It’s all or nothing, to Obama.

Obama launches another unfounded attack on the U.S. Constitution

Ignoring all evidence that violent criminals target “gun-free zones”— just a few examples include the Virginia Tech “gun-free zone” mass shooting in 2007 and the Aurora movie theater “gun-free zone” massacre in 2012– Obama’s second-term agenda is aimed at Americans’ gun rights under the 2nd Amendment.

Obama clearly understands that he’s attacking fundamental rights without justification– now that his own hometown of Chicago has implemented the strictest gun control laws in the country, it has a murder rate “far worse now than it was during the city’s most notorious crime era.”

Since Barack “former constitutional law professor at Harvard” Obama knew that he couldn’t get Congress to support his illogical, counter-productive, and unconstitutional plans, he announced his intent to bypass the elected legislative branch of government altogether and impose his will on the American people. He’s gotten away with so many unconstitutional executive orders already, that he knows he can simply do it again.

VP Biden openly admitted that the White House identified 19 executive actions for President Obama to move unilaterally on gun control. So what did Obama do? He signed 23 executive orders on gun control, leading to immediate calls for his impeachment by certain members of Congress.

Not only has Obama proven his divisiveness and partisanship by acting unilaterally– also keep in mind that his executive actions impose gun control on the American people, while giving free passes to King Obama and his Democratic nobility with their life-long 24/7 armed security teams.

None of this sounds very appealing, does it? Well, Obama’s going to make sure you don’t speak up– by surrounding himself with children during his gun control announcement. Yes, using these children political props will make sure the American people surrender more liberty in return for a false sense of security.

Update: “Tyrants who have used children as props: USSR’s Joseph Stalin, China’s Mao Zedong, Germany’s Adolf Hitler, Cuba’s Fidel Castro, North Korea’s Kim il-Sung, and Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez.”  It’s unbelievable that a sitting U.S. President has adopted the manipulative tactics of these tyrants.

Update #2: Obama’s hypocrisy over gun control is even more extreme because his “Fast and Furious” scandal (in which Obama’s Administration purposefully sold thousands of guns to Mexican drug cartels) resulted in the deaths of at least 200 Mexicans and 2 U.S. border patrol agents.  This image says it all:

Obama wants more power.

As the fiscal cliff approaches, this is Obama’s grand solution: “a demand for new stimulus spending and authority to unilaterally raise the U.S. borrowing ceiling.”  In other words, Obama wants a new unilateral presidential power to raise the U.S. debt limit.

Obama is too predictable: He’s already announced that he doesn’t care about the Constitution’s separation of powers. If Congress refuses to do something, Obama will just do it himself.

Obama wants more power over American businesses.

“President Barack Obama signaled if he wins a second term he would appoint a Secretary of Business to oversee newly-consolidated government agencies.”

Obama’s non-deportation policy = unilateral amnesty

Who cares about what Congress or the Courts say? Answer: Not Obama.
