Political fallout from sequestration continues…

Obama ushered in his second term by throwing U.S. national security over the fiscal cliff.

Afterward, the Obama Administration failed to provide any evidence that the federal government has been damaged by the sequester. In fact, the federal government was so capable of handling the required “budget cuts” that the Obama Administration worried the American people would favor additional budget cuts to rein in out-of-control government spending.  In order to advance its agenda, the Obama Administration instructed federal agencies “to make sure the cuts are as painful as President Obama promised they would be.”

Obama was so intent on deceiving the American people that his administration “overreached three times… attempting to illustrate the negative impact of the sequester spending cuts in the short term, giving fodder to those seeking to play down the impact of the cuts. On Monday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told reporters that major airports had seen lines ballooning to 150-200 percent their normal size. The Transportation Security Administration later clarified that it was not yet seeing longer-than-normal checkpoint lines… On Friday, meanwhile, President Obama said that janitors at the U.S. Capitol would receive a pay cut due to the sequester cuts. Carlos Elias, the superintendent of the U.S. Capitol building and the Capitol Visitors Center, quickly emailed employees to say “This is NOT TRUE,” adding that “The pay and benefits of EACH of our employees WILL NOT be impacted.”… The prior Sunday, Education Secretary Arne Duncan had said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that “There are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can’t come back this fall.” He later acknowledged that he “misspoke” after fact checkers found no evidence for the claim.”

There have been so many absurdities coming from the Obama Administration after the sequester that it’s difficult to keep count:

Run, Carney. Run!

The Obama Administration’s corruption is staggering. After overlooking the misuse of stimulus funds for Obama’s political cronies and the nomination of political donors for influential public positions (including John Kerry), even MSNBC is stunned: “MSNBC’s Chuck Todd criticized Monday the new fundraising efforts of President Obama’s dark money group, Organizing for Action, calling a scheme for high donors to meet regularly with Obama “the definition of selling access.” Todd was describing the quarterly meetings that will be enjoyed by OFA’s $500,000 donors.”  Disturbingly, “Giving or raising $500,000 or more puts donors on a national advisory board for Mr. Obama’s group and the privilege of attending quarterly meetings with the president, along with other meetings at the White House.”

Hilariously, “the organization’s leadership has been courting corporate donors” and Chuck Todd has expressed confusion over the fact that Obama (while campaigning) said he believed that “money has a strangle hold over the entire political system.”

And it gets funnier: White House Press Secretary Jay Carney ran away from the podium while reporters were still questioning him about this issue, after failing “to defend this arrangement” and “implausibly stating that the Obama group is somehow not related to Obama.”

Obama spins a web of lies about the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya

There were 400 ATTACKERS on the U.S. Consulate in Libya.

Yet, White House press secretary Jay Carney says “… this is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims.

And, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice wants us to believe, “Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous – not a premeditated – response to what had transpired in Cairo… In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated.”

And, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responds to the terrorist attack with, “Let me state very clearly — and I hope it is obvious — that the United States government had absolutely nothing to do with this video. We absolutely reject its content and message. America’s commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation.

And, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo apparently believes that the exercise of the 1st Amendment right to free speech– IF it offends Muslims– constitutes an “abuse” of “the universal right of free speech.” Wow, that’s one step away from justifying the criminalization of speech that Muslims claim is offensive!  What is this, “1984”?

It is CLEAR that the Obama Administration is guilty of a cover-up.

Intelligence officials have actually come forward to express their anger at the Obama Administration’s cover-up of intelligence on the Iranian-supported Al Qaeda surge in Egypt and Libya.

And about a month after the attack, it’s been revealed that “the U.S. intelligence community in Libya informed the administration in Washington, D.C., within 24 hours of the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya that the attack had been a terrorist strike whose perpetrators included militia associated with al Qaeda.”
